As you no doubt are already aware, on February 5th it was announced that our parish reached our internal goal of raising $500,000 for our Capital Campaign towards the replacement of our roof and the electrical wiring. With the assistance of a very generous donor who was willing to help us make it over the final hurdle we did it. Thanks Be To God For Answering Our Prayers!
This campaign has been such a success because of the tremendous outpouring of support by the congregation and the St. Luke's community at large. Countless hours of work were undertaken by all the members of the Capital Campaign Commitee, especially the Honorary Co-Chairs, Ken and Elsie Cundy and the Campaign Co-Chairs Rick Dickson and Diane Eynon. Plus we musn't forget the hard work done by the Clergy, The Vestry and the parish staff (especially you Linda).
This doesn't mean that the campaign is actually over. If for some reason you have not been contacted about making a pledge to this campaign and you would like to contribute please see one of the members of the campaign committee, clergy or staff.

Case Statement For The Capital Campaign
The Capital Campaign For The Church Of St. Luke & The Epiphany Philadelphia Pennsylvania
St. Luke and the Epiphany is a vibrant, diverse and growing Episcopal parish in center city Philadelphia. Our home on 13th street is one of the city's finest examples of Greek Revival architecture. Completed in 1840 it was first electrified in 1899 - and some of that original electrical wiring is still being used!
In order to preserve our building so that we can continue to bear witness to what God is doing in our lives and in our neighborhood we must completely replace our roof, shore up the roof trusses and replace the antiquated portions of our electrical system. The entire project is expected to cost approximately $750,000.
Our goal is to raise a minimum of $500,000 from within the parish with the remaining support coming from the greater community.
